Welcome to Union Grove Independent School District, where every day is a GREAT day to be a LION! We are located off U.S. Hwy 271 in Upshur county, just a few miles north of the city of Gladewater. Established in 1907, Union Grove ISD has thrived on community support and interaction.

We are a 2A school district rich in educational opportunities and programs for students. Committed to students and student success, the district provides strong academic programs, premier career and technical education courses, state recognized fine arts programs, competitive athletic programs and many other respected co-curricular programs.

Beginning in elementary we aim to maintain small teacher to student ratios in the classroom. Working together, the administration, school board and faculty strives to allocate resources to meet the needs of all students at UGISD. As a district we want to continue to learn and grow to seek innovative ways to increase student success. We want to provide positive learning experiences for all students and instill school PRIDE among our students and community. Union Grove is a great place to live and work.
