Graduated from Longview High School.  Then Kilgore Jr. College and Stephen F. Austin State University. Graduated from SFA in 1975. Majored in Social Studies and Minored in Health/PE.   Taught 4 years at Woodville and then one year at Pine Tree High School. I temporarily retired from teaching for 10 years.  In 1991 I came to Union Grove.  I've taught Texas History and American History here about 29 years. Also I coached my first 5 years here. 

In 1975 I married Melinda Martin. So we have been married 44 years. We have 2 children, Kyle and Katy. Now we have 4 grand children. Katy my daughter graduated from Union Grove in 2000.
