After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Baylor University, I worked for 9 years as a research scientist in the field of analytical chemistry at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. Following a career change to education in 2000, I have taught various science and mathematics courses at the high school level. I have taught mathematics at Union Grove High School for 5 years. After completing my Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2017, I began teaching dual credit mathematics courses through LeTourneau University. My amazing wife of 29 years and I have five sons ranging from 6 to 23 years of age.
